My journalistic experiences
began in the early 1960's with contracts for regular features
in boating magazines, and the Sunday Times national newspaper
with my own column. Later I had my own weekly column in the local
Maldon & Burnham nwspaper. I produced entries for 'Encyclopedia
Brittanica', and also wrote the 'House Histories' under contract
for several large company's. I wrote and published several books,
namely 'Golden Rolls' (a history of the British Cigarette Industry),
and books on boatbuilding namely 'Hartley's Guide To Boatbuilding',
and 'Ferro-Cement Boats'. For my knowledge of boats and boatbuilding
I was awarded several honourary degrees and acceptance to prestigious
institutions affording me the letters mSNAME and amRINA. |
